Who We Are

The Conflict Center provides practical skills and training to address everyday conflict through relationship building. We are steadfastly committed to being at the center of nonviolence in families, schools, workplaces and communities.

In 1987, Liz Loescher dreamed up the idea for The Conflict Center in her basement. It has since grown into a long-standing nonprofit in Denver’s Sunnyside neighborhood.

You Can’t Unfriend Everyone (Connections Series) 5:30 PM

This class occurs virtually on Tuesday, April 30th from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. This interactive session will focus on a variety of ways that we “unfriend” people and review skills we can use everyday – such as reframing resistance, listening deeply, and navigating triggers – to stay “in conversation” instead.

Restorative Justice Facilitator Training (Virtual) 3:00 PM

This training occurs virtually: 3pm – 7pm on May 17th 9am – 4pm on May 18th 9am – 4pm on May 19th *The training is not drop-in; you must fill out an application before attending. Your application will be reviewed within six weeks and we will be in touch to inform you of your application status. Upon acceptance, you will be sent a link to register for one of the upcoming training dates that works best for your schedule.

Peace Day celebrates connection, community and the power of literature to teach children skills that promote empathy, kindness, and problem solving.
