Youth/Adult Program AssistantLocation: Denver, CO | Start Date: Flexible | Salary: Unpaid
This opportunity is for those interested in teaching conflict and anger management skills to youth and/or adults. For those who have some basic teaching/training experience or want to gain this skill and show dedication, commitment, reliability and passion this is a unique and exciting opportunity. The Conflict Center needs individuals who are willing to commit at least 1 year or more to this work.
This opportunity involves direct experience in classroom instruction and group facilitation with youth and/or adults. Volunteers and interns interested in teaching will begin participate in a training program to become familiar with conflict resolution strategies and social emotional learning theory, concepts and practice.
Attend and participate in a 6-week Adult Anger Management Class
Attend the 16-hour Train the Trainer Workshop
Commitment to minimum of 2 semesters for approximately 100 hours.
