In this half-day course, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the implementation of Restorative Practices. Participants will review the philosophy of restorative practices and the paradigm shifts that are necessary in order to effectively and consistently implement restorative practices. Participants will share their successes with restorative practices in their workplaces, and strategize with facilitators and with one another on ways to address challenges with restorative practices implementation. Formal training in Restorative Practices is a prerequisite for participation in this course.

We define Restorative Practice as the process by which an individual acknowledges wrongdoing, takes steps to repair harm, and is welcomed back into the community. This, in effect, fosters a culture that elevates dialogue and values relationships.
For over 30 years, The Conflict Center has been providing programs to Denver and throughout Colorado. Through our youth and adult classes and conflict management workshops, we empower individuals to see and use conflict as an opportunity to grow, learn, and create positive change in their lives. At The Conflict Center, we believe that all of us are capable of and responsible for building healthy relationships in our homes, schools, congregations, workplaces, and communities.
This class occurs virtually on the following Mondays from 5:30pm – 7:30pm (MT): June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22 and July 29. The skills we teach help you cool down, manage stress, and learn how conflict can be a force for positive change.
This class occurs in-person from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Monday, June 10, Tuesday, June 11, and Wednesday, June 12. The Restorative Practices Educators’ Institute is a 2 to 3-day course designed for teachers, administrators, and staff to learn and practice the foundations of restorative practices in a school setting. Coaching will be built into each day’s instruction and participants can choose a 2-day or 3-day training package.
This class occurs virtually on the following Tuesdays from 6:00pm – 8:00pm (MT): May 21, May 28, June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25. The skills we teach help you cool down, manage stress, and learn how conflict can be a force for positive change.
