These classes can be taken by anyone who is acting as a parent or guardian to children, including, but not limited to: couples, co-parents, single parents, caregivers, or foster parents. The skills gained during this course can be used with youth of all ages. Certification of completion issued at the end of class.

‘Restoring Peace’ is a course that teaches restorative parenting, a philosophy that emphasizes building strong relationships in families, setting mutually age-appropriate boundaries for youth and guardians, and repairing harm when boundaries are crossed. It is taught through the lens of the 5 R’s of Restorative Practices: Relationship, Respect, Responsibility, Repair, and Reintegration/Resetting.
During this course we will reflect on parenting styles. Participants will learn that at the heart of restorative practices in parenting is the strengthening of the relationship between parent/guardians and children, while at the same time, holding children accountable for the impact of their actions.
After this class, parents/guardians will have a community of families working to include restorative practices into their parenting. At TCC, we help build a community of support, where parenting challenges are normalized and parents/guardians can provide each other with confidence and shared learning experiences. For over 30 years, The Conflict Center has been providing programs to Denver and throughout Colorado. Through our youth and adult classes and conflict management workshops, we empower individuals to see and use conflict as an opportunity to grow, learn, and create positive change in their lives. At The Conflict Center, we believe that all of us are capable of and responsible for building healthy relationships in our homes, schools, congregations, workplaces, and communities.
This class occurs virtually on the following Tuesdays from 5:30pm – 7:30pm (MT): January 7, January 14, January 21, January 28, February 4, February 11. The skills we teach help you cool down, manage stress, and learn how conflict can be a force for positive change.
This class occurs virtually on the following Mondays from 6:00pm – 8:00pm (MT): November 4, November 11, November 18, November 25, December 2, December 9. The skills we teach help you cool down, manage stress, and learn how conflict can be a force for positive change.
This class occurs at The Conflict Center on the following Saturdays from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm: October 19 and October 26. The skills we teach help you cool down, manage stress, and learn how conflict can be a force for positive change.
Simply put — we teach people to solve problems and build relationships. We want families, schools and communities to put themselves at the center of nonviolence. Our programs equip people with skills to navigate conflict productively.
