What does it mean to be a leader? How does someone “become” one? What characteristics do good leaders have? Is that something you want to be?
Maybe you’re already a leader in your school or your community and you want to develop your skills. Maybe you haven’t ever had a leadership role, but you’re curious and want to be prepared for the future. Maybe you just want to enhance your interpersonal skills. Whatever your role, plans, or skill level, there is a place for you in the Conflict Center’s YOUth Leadership Academy!
At the YOUth Leadership Academy, you will learn skills for better communication and how to find the opportunities for learning and growth that come from conflict. We will also build skills around managing stress and regulating our own emotions. Great leaders are those who are good at communicating with themselves as well as with others!
Join the Conflict Center and 5-7 other youth for this exciting, interactive program! This camp will be held at The Conflict Center, with a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities that strictly adhere to the most up to date COVID safety protocols. Campers can expect to engage in a variety of activities that facilitate interaction and creation of meaningful relationships, including journaling, games, small group work, individual self-reflection, and more. We can’t wait to see you there!
We are offering limited scholarships that would allow you to participate in the camp for $30 instead of the full price or the discounted price. If you are interested in applying, check the box below. We will then send the camper the scholarship questions, which includes responding to several prompts with 1-2 paragraphs each. Please note that completing the application does not guarantee that you will receive the scholarship.
*Please email Rachel.protentis@conflictcenter.org if you need immediate information.
Our community’s safety and health are very important to us! To that end, please be advised that in accordance with the City of Denver order and with best practices, masks are required to enter our building and must be worn in all common spaces. In addition, upon entry and before your meeting/class, we will administer a no touch temperature check and ask you to answer a verbal health screen.
