Peace Day celebrates connection, community and the power of activities to teach children skills that promote empathy, kindness and problem solving. Our annual Peace Day offers a creative opportunity to connect while learning valuable skills centered around identifying and expressing emotions and self-regulation.

This year we are changing things up: at Peace Day we will have tote bags for families to use to fill with specially designed skill-building activities, games and crafts of their choosing.

In August we will be hosting a Reading for Peace: Back to School event at Tattered Cover Bookstore on Colfax, where we will be hosting read-a-loud stations, handing out book bags with books–along with literacy activities–and promoting Third Spaces. Stay tuned for more info!

What's a Build Your Own Peace Tote?

This year, families will Build your own Peace Tote bag with your choice of specially designed activities and crafts for households with kids ages 4-10 and offered in Spanish or English. The Conflict Center is passionate about equipping everyone with skills around interacting in healthier ways! A big part of that is helping children understand their emotions and communication options. Limit 1 tote per household.
