The Conflict Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Syed as its new Executive Director. With more than 20 years of global experience in community development, human rights, and organizational leadership, Andrew will guide The Conflict Center into its next chapter of growth and impact.
Andrew has dedicated his career to bringing people together, fostering dialogue, and creating positive social change. He has founded and led nonprofits, directed international campaigns with Amnesty International, and developed human rights programs in corporate and community settings. His work has taken him across six continents, where he has built partnerships, raised resources, and supported grassroots movements focused on peace, equity, and resilience.
We are thrilled to welcome Andrew as our Executive Director. His depth of experience, global perspective, and passion for building safer communities align perfectly with our mission and values. Andrew joins our team at a pivotal moment as the organization continues to expand its programs in restorative practices, youth engagement, and violence prevention across Colorado and beyond.
“I am honored to join The Conflict Center and carry forward its legacy of equipping people with skills to navigate conflict constructively and proactively,” said Syed. “I look forward to working alongside the dedicated staff, board, and community partners to tell our story and to strengthen connections and create spaces where dialogue and understanding can thrive.”
